Lake Como is located to the north of Milan, just 50 kilometers away and very close to the Swiss border. It takes no more than an hour and a half to get to the lake. Located at the very top of Italy, Lake Maggiore borders Italian and Swiss lands. The lake is 55 km from Milan and can be reached within an hour. From time to time, fog descends from the peaks of the Alps onto the lake, giving it a mysterious and calm atmosphere. On the outskirts of Maggiore, there are two towns – Stresa and Verbania.
